I am soooo behind in blogging. I have been busy shooting and working on 12 weeks worth of weddings so now I am counting backwards. Angie and Mike… wow a way to end my busy streak. A totally “non traditional” “wedding” and portrait session. “Wedding”, because there was no actual ceremony. “Non traditional” because it was actually a quite traditional Chinese marriage and reception. They wed privately the day before in a tea ceremony honoring their ancestors with close family. They continued the Chinese tradition with toasting each table with cognac, and Mike…cheers to you…you were still standing.
Angie and Mike wanted fun portraits of them and their bridal party so we rode a hummer limo, headed to Old Town Orange, struck a pose in an alleyway, and got kicked of the railroad tracks before heading to the bar.
And side note: Mike decided now was a good time to propose to Angie. See below.
Another side note: I had a fricken blast shooting all of it.
The ride to Old Town
this is the photo that got us kicked off of the tracks
Notice the balls….it is their wedding date
nothing like waiting for your wedding day to pull off the official proposal
The toasts at the tables provided so many great moments it is truly hard to narrow down, I apologize if I am going overboard
