I love to find new nooks and spaces in downtown for photos. Molly and Joe had a blast walking around, stopping in an arcade, hanging with their pup and watching the sunset through the downtown streets.

Joanne and Marco live downtown, are getting married downtown so of course when it comes to their engagement photos where else but … downtown LA, specifically in the neighborhood which I LOVED.
I shoot in downtown LA a lot. I love it, my clients love it we have fun it is hard not to have a good time.
I always try to push it to new areas and see new things but there are a few places that are just so damn good it is hard to give up. Union Station is one of those places, as long as people want to shoot there I want be there, so while you have seen some of this before sometimes good is just good. No excuses there.
Beth Daniel and I started with one location idea and just went from there. Their first date was at the Disney Hall downtown so we new we end up there but until we did we would wonder the streets of downtown LA and just have fun and see what we came up with. We managed to hit the Bradbury building, Grand Central Market, Angels Flight and the the surrounding streets. Thanks for not thinking I was crazy when I asked you to run into dozens of pigeons feasting in a trash area. It was worth it! So glad we were able to do this I had a great time. This is just a sneak peak, I am nowhere near done.
Looking forward to your wedding it May.
Its a tie, I cant decide which LA downtown venue I love more. Hotel Figueroa has long been my favorite downtown location but now…the Marvimon House has entered my world. I love this place everything about it, the location just outside of Chinatown, its nondescript outside entrance and then the amazement you have when you walk into this crazy cool place. It has the perfect balance of hip, modern, warm, rustic, welcoming and fun. Lily and Russell chose this venue and I was beyond excited to finally shoot there. They took the feeling of this former car showroom turned “loft” and added their personal touches to make an stunning, classy, fun wedding. Every detail from the gourmet food to the succulent arrangements made this about as perfect party as I can imagine.
Note: an idea to steal….mini milk shakes and doughnuts served late night. Yumm.
Lily and Russell, you guys are awesome, if this is an indicator to your future entertaining I hope I am there for Bar Mitzvahs and 50 year anniversaries. Cheers.
